daarling
daarling began in 2018 as a collaborative project between friends, taking many forms throughout the years with many different musicians. At the core, daarling has always been an indie rock band, playing several shows in 2019 before the pandemic in 2020.
The band shifted late 2019 when two of the main members, Andrew Bess and Erin Lyle, moved to Chicago. The band has been writing music there ever since, and is now playing as a three piece in the Chicago/Midwest area.
daarling’s debut album, “The Deep Within,” was released October 20th, 2023. This album is a mix of new and old songs from throughout the time spent collaborating with friends and now. Past members include Andrew Stockero, Josh Moore, Michael Chopp; touring members Mark and Karl Heinonen, and present members Erin Lyle (vocals, bass, songwriting), Andrew Bess (guitar, instrumental writing), and Rob Kristan (Drums).
The band just released their new EP, “Arrangements to Change,” on August 16th, 2024. They had just went on their first multi-week tour along the east coast this past spring as well, kicking off April 15th at Empty Bottle in Chicago. Continuing to play shows in and around Chicago, daarling is just getting started and more music releases can be expected to follow.
