At the core, daarling has always been an indie rock band, playing several shows in 2019 before the pandemic in 2020. The band shifted late 2019 when two of the main members, Andrew Bess and Erin Lyle, moved to Chicago. The band has been writing music there ever since, and is now playing as a three piece in the Chicago/Midwest area. daarling’s debut album, “The Deep Within,” was released October 20th, 2023. This album is a mix of new and old songs from throughout the time spent collaborating with friends and now. Past members include Andrew Stockero, Josh Moore, Michael Chopp; touring members Mark and Karl Heinonen, and present members Erin Lyle (vocals, bass, songwriting), Andrew Bess (guitar, instrumental writing), and Rob Kristan (Drums). The band released their new EP, “Arrangements to Change,” on August 16th, 2024.
